BEAUMONT, TX – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office takes great pride in nominating Stephen “Doc” Watson as Crime Stopper of the Year.
Doc has a genuine desire to help make our communities a better place to live by being the premier advocate for Gun Safety and Crime Prevention in Southeast Texas. He promotes both through social media, our local media and teaching Firearms Safety Classes.
He single handedly created the gun lock box initiative and has attended neighborhood meetings, community meetings, conducted interviews with local media on the importance of securing guns. He has searched and found the most effective and least costly lock boxes and promoted them tirelessly.
Doc is a huge supporter of Crime Stoppers & believes in its system of operation. He promotes the P3 app especially, any chance he gets! He seeks individuals who would be an asset to the Crime Stoppers board. Doc also has been very successful in obtaining financial support for the program.
Doc has always been a great supporter of Law Enforcement and his passion for Crime Stoppers continues his legacy of support.
